Doodle Arrows — Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 2, 2026
App: Doodle Arrows for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch (including its widgets and Live Activity)
Developer: WinPlay Studio (Do Van Kiet), Vietnam — contact: game@dvk.vn
Doodle Arrows is a drawing puzzle game made for children and families. We built it so that it works without knowing who you are. This policy explains, in plain words, what happens to information when you use the app.
1. The short version
- We do not collect any personal information. Not from children, not from parents, not from anyone.
- No accounts, no ads, no in-app purchases, no analytics, no tracking. The app contains no third-party software development kits (SDKs).
- Your drawings never leave your device. The artificial intelligence (AI) that reads your arrows runs entirely on your iPhone or iPad.
- Your progress stays on your device. Deleting the app deletes it.
2. Information stored only on your device
To make the game work, the app saves a small amount of game data on your device only. We never receive it.
| What | Why | Where | How to delete |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stars, levels cleared, daily streak | To continue your game and show progress | On the device, in a storage area shared only with the app's own widgets | Settings › Reset Progress, or delete the app |
| Puzzles you draw and save (Sketchbook) | So you can play them again or share them | On the device | Long-press a puzzle › Delete, Reset Progress, or delete the app |
| Your choices (sound, music, voice, vibration, reminders) | To remember your settings | On the device | Change them in Settings, or delete the app |
The Apple Watch app keeps its own copy of daily-puzzle progress on the watch. Deleting the watch app deletes it.
3. Drawing recognition (on-device AI)
When you draw an arrow, the app turns your finger strokes into a small black-and-white picture and asks a machine-learning model (Apple Core ML and Vision) inside the app which way the arrow points. This happens on your device in a fraction of a second. Strokes and pictures are not stored after recognition and are never sent to us or anyone else.
4. Camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos
The app does not use the camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, health data or any other personal data on your device.
5. Notifications
If you choose to turn on streak reminders, the app asks iOS for permission and then schedules local notifications on your device (for example at 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM, never between 9:00 PM and 9:00 AM). No server is involved and no information leaves your device. You can turn reminders off at any time in the app's Settings or in iOS Settings › Notifications.
6. Widgets, Live Activities, Siri and Shortcuts
The Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, the Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, and the Siri / Shortcuts actions all run on your device using Apple frameworks. They only read the game progress described in section 2. Requests you make to Siri are handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy; we receive nothing.
7. Sharing a puzzle (only when a grown-up chooses)
The app lets a grown-up share a puzzle the child drew, or a Daily Mini result, using the standard iOS share sheet. Before the share sheet opens, a grown-up gate (press and hold, then answer a multiplication question) must be passed.
- What is shared: a picture of the puzzle board and a short puzzle code (letters and numbers that describe where the arrows are), or a star score for the daily puzzle.
- What is not shared: no name, no photo of the child, no device information, no location.
- The message is sent by the app you pick (for example Messages or Mail) under that app's own privacy terms. We do not receive or store shared content.
When someone types a puzzle code or opens a puzzle link, the app decodes it on the device to rebuild the board. Codes contain only the board layout.
8. Ratings
A grown-up may be invited (behind the grown-up gate) to rate the app. The rating screen is provided by Apple; we do not see who rated.
9. Information Apple may share with us
If you have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics or crash reports with app developers, Apple may provide us with anonymous, aggregated statistics (for example how many devices installed the app, or a crash report without personal identifiers). This is controlled by Apple and by your device settings, not by the app. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
10. Children's privacy (COPPA and similar laws)
Doodle Arrows is designed for children aged 6–8 and is offered in the App Store Kids category.
- We do not knowingly collect, use or disclose personal information from children.
- There is no chat, no social feed, no user profiles, no behavioral advertising and no third-party analytics.
- Links that leave the app, sharing, rating and resetting progress are protected by a grown-up gate.
- Parents or guardians can delete all game data at any time (Settings › Reset Progress, or delete the app). Because we hold no data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side; you may still contact us with any question.
11. Data retention and deletion
All data described in section 2 stays on your device until you reset it or delete the app. We keep no copies, because we never receive them.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or US state laws), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to its processing. Because we do not collect personal data, there is normally nothing to access or delete, but you can contact us at any time and we will reply within 30 days.
13. Our website
This policy covers the app. If you visit dvk.vn (for example a puzzle link page), our web host may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security for a short time. The puzzle link page does not use cookies or trackers.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and the effective date above before the change takes effect. Material changes will also be described in the app's update notes.
